Poul Henningsen endeavoured to create glare-free light, direct light where it was most needed, and create soft shadows, using incandescent bulbs as a light source. Henningsen’s mathematic approach to lighting, using the logarithmic spiral, led to the development of the three-shade system in 1925-6 and the following product family, which over the years has included hundreds of different models, ranging from floor lamps to table lamps, pendants, chandeliers and wall lamps.

The PH 2/1 Limited Edition 2024 is a petite version of the classic table lamp, with mouth-blown four-layered coloured glass-shades and stem and base made of lacquered aged brass. The lamp is a wonderful statement piece to add to the home, that takes its inspiration from Henningsen's original lamps designed throughout the 1920s-40s.  

The aged brass patina can vary. Please note that the brass is treated and the surface will note change over time.
The glass shades are all handmade and mouth-blown individually. Please be aware that there might be differences in the hues from one glass shade to another and from one lamp to another, even in seemingly identical lamps.

Based on Poul Henningsen’s reflective three-shade system, this petite table lamp provides a soft downward directed light, while emitting a wonderful glow. The four-layered dusty terracotta coloured mouth-blown opal glass shades are glossy on top, and in combination with a sandblasted matt opal white lower side, it yields a soft and poetic light.
